Graduation at ALU marks the formal completion of academic programmes across its campuses and schools.
Since its founding, ALU has held annual graduation ceremonies bringing together students from across the continent and beyond. These ceremonies reflect the work students undertake throughout their studies, including applied learning, industry experience, and entrepreneurial projects.
The 2026 ceremony, which takes place on 17 July 2026, continues this tradition, with expanded representation across programmes.
The 2026 Graduation is the first ceremony to bring together graduates from both the African Leadership University (ALU) and the African Leadership University School of Business (ALUSB).
This reflects the continued expansion of ALU’s academic model across undergraduate and postgraduate education, bringing together a broader community of graduates in a single ceremony.
Our Life Beyond ALU program is a series of content for our Graduands sharing information, lessons, and advice on how to best prepare them for their life after they graduate, their Life Beyond ALU. It includes legal and personal wellness advice, the process to exit the University and the country (if needed). It ends with the Last Dance event, that allows for bonding, nostalgia and celebration, including the torch lighting ceremony and the reciting of the ALUmni Pledge thus activating them as our ALUmni.
Our Asante Sana Day is a special celebration of Gratitude, in line with our value of Humility. At ALU we teach to remain aware of the effect we have on others, and the effect they have on us. We invite parents, guardians and families to see our campus (for first time visitors) and share how they now form our Parent ALUmni community and how they can contribute to the collective Mission of ALU as One ALU
Our EMBA Asante Sana Day is a special celebration of Gratitude, in line with our value of Humility. At ALUSB we teach to remain aware of the effect we have on others, and the effect they have on us. This event also includes the special Hooding Ceremony, where graduands are dressed in their regalia. We invite parents, guardians and families to see our campus (for first time visitors) and share how they now form our Parent ALUmni community and how they can contribute to the collective Mission of ALU as One ALU.
